Yep, this is my first time actually uploading a 3D model onto this site. I have been working with 3D modeling in blender for a while, but i was always just using them as a base. This time though, I actually colored one using Sketchup, since coloring in blender is really difficult to pull off. Also I have completely redesigned this Battleship Class. It is no longer the gun heavy design that it used to be, Instead using a lot of VLS type missile launchers, 360 10 cell launchers to be specific. So here are the updated Statistics

The defiance class super battleship, is the akurian confederation's newest battleship type. The Defiance class, and others like it, are designed with heavy defenses in mind, with a particular attention to fighter and missile defenses. But the Defiance cloass is primarily built around its long range lance guns, mass driver weapons that fire powerful kinetic kill guided missiles, that are invulnerable to defensive weapons fire. The Akurians field longer ranged lance guns that most powers. While most powers, their lance guns are short ranged weapons, with only 30 lightseconds maximum efective range, Akurian lance guns, are able to accurately hit targets at up to 60 lightseconds distance, the distance of the longest ranged capital missiles, all while being immune to defensive fire. As a result this ship absolutely dominates at mid ranged combat, while still being able to carry enough long range cruise missiles to be effective at long range combat as well. Because of this, Defiance class ships are designed with a substantial amount of defensive weapons aimed at both stopping Cruise missile attacks, as well as netralising capital missile armed opponents. It is also highly effective against fighter happy opponents as well, which is useful, as the Akurians dont field many carriers.
The large number of VLS tubes makes the defiance class an exeptionally flexible ship, as the SSRV 250-4 VLS system can load a variety of ordiance, a single tube can hold either a single cruise missile, or 8 capital missiles, or 27 SFV 150-75 missiles, or 125 SFV 90-18 missiles or 320 SFV 60-12 missiles, or a shield booster or defense field booster. This flexibility has eliminated the need to field dedicated escort battleships, or other types of single mission battleships, as this ship can fit a variety of roles depending on its VLS loadout.
The main stength of a defiance class comes from its formidable multi layered defenses. A defiances first defense will be its VLS systems. The ships second layer of defense is its 8000 exajoule defense field. The defense field woks by decreasing the strength of incoming fire by 8000 exajoules, and weapons below that 8000 exajoules are completely blocked. Defense fields work by weakening incoming weapons fire before they hit the main disruptor shields. generally weaker weapons fire will not pass through a defensive field and will be harmlessly deflected away, unlike disruptor shielding, defense fields do not drain or weaken, and remain active constantly, even if the shields fail, the defense field will still weaken incoming fire and lessen the damage to the ships armor. Defense fields use unconcentrated particles, such as disruptor particles to weaken incoming energy blasts and slow down projectiles, unlike disruptor shielding, which uses very concentrated particles to cancel out an incoming round. Defense fields maintain their strength by recycling the energy that they bleed off of incoming weapons fire. Defense fields only block incoming ordiance, but have no effect on outgoing fire. They aslo have no effect in stopping low energy unconcentrated particles or background radiation, nor do they affect the tachyons used for sensors.
The third layer of defense is the primary shield generators. These shields use artificial disruptor particles to break up and neutralize kinetic energy penetrators and directed energy weapons. However this process does deplete particles, and the shields lose their ability to protect a ship should they run out. But their capacity is high, and with the defense fields in place, it still takes close to 600 main battery rounds from the ships own guns to drop its shields, and that is without taking into account any additional shield strength gained from the defense pods.
Final layer of defense is the ships actual armor. Typical Akurian practice is that the ships frontal armor is capable of withstanding up to 1.2 density shells from its own guns, and the defiance is no exception. As with most starships, the frontal armor is the strongest, however the side armor is not exactly weak either. With help from the defense fields, the side, top, bottom, and rear armor is capable of stopping most missiles, exept for the heaviest ones, and can stop its own shells up to 0.9 density.

Damn, I bet this thing could take on a ISD and win. Those turrets look big enough.
